Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

Treadmill tempo workout.  3 mile warm up, 7 mile progressive tempo in about 45 min/6:25 AP splits were approxiametely 6:39 (2%), 6:35, 6:31 (1.5%), 6:27, 6:22, (1%), 6:18 (.5%), 6:15 (0%), 1 mile cool down.  11 miles total in 77 minutes, 7:00 AP.  I should have stopped at 5 when my feet started bothering me but I'm stubborn and physically I felt okay and wanted to finish.  I'm going to see a podiatrist this week and toying with the idea of orthotics.  We shall see but at this point I've tried just about everything and figure between my metetarsalgia and PF custom orthotics really can't hurt...

That's a bunch of miles on the treadmil WITH a tempo thrown in the middle. Great run Rachelle! Good luck with your feet this week. Fingers are crossed!

My foot pain started creeping up a couple months ago....I started wearing Injinji toe socks all the time and doing foot stability/strengthening exercises (http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/PDFs/Rehab_Foot_and_Ankle_4.pdf) and I have not had problems recently. I'm also running much less mileage than you which helps as well. Just some more ideas you might want to try!
