Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

9 mi easy recovery on Jen's hilly route in Salem, 7:50 pace.  Warm but way windy out in Salem.  My training is all sorts of mixed up right now and since I ran fast mon & tues I decided double recovery days were in order.  I should probably put together some type of structure or plan but the "just go with the flow" mentality sure is fun. :)

I am feeling pretty good and my body seems to be handling the higher volume quite well.  I think I am finally starting to get excited about racing in 2013.

The wind woke me up at my house, and while I was driving I could feel it pushing against my car! Wow! I'm amazed that you can run in such weather... on the plus it has been a little warmer though. = ) Good job Rachelle!

Good for you!

I am totally in go-with-the-flow mode and it is nice!

Good job this week Rachelle! I am really excited for your racing this year too, probably more than my racing. ;)

I am getting excited to go to Fargo with you and Rachel. 80% sure I am doing UVM too.

What is your typical training schedule like? I would love to model my training after someone since I usually go on how I am feeling. I would just take your training load and divide it in half. haha. Seriously.

Kira - running outside in UT this time of year is always an adventure...but it is fun. :):)

Lily - thanks! It feels good to feel good after all of the injuries I dealt with after TOU.

Carina - you should be excited! You are running so well right now. I think 2013 is going to be a great year for you.

April - I agree!

Bec - I am SO EXCITED your coming to Fargo. It is going to be such a party. About the training...I am kind of winging it right now. A lot because weather dictates quite a bit in the winter, just an excuse I know but I'm using it. :) I try to do one tempo, one speedworkout, and one long run with a fast finish each week when I am in "training mode". I think a LR with a fast race pace finish is just about the greatest workout ever if you are training for a longer distance. I am definitely no expert but would be glad to help you out. Maybe I'll actually come up with a plan for myself and e-mail it to you. Are you doing any races before UVM?
