Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

I had a blast running this marathon with my friend Heather.  She had just ran Big Cottonwood three weeks prior and wanted to go for a BQ.  She is 100% capable...but I think BC was still in her legs.  Heather is truly one tough cookie.  She started hitting the wall at Veyo and really hammered through and held it together incredibly well.  26.2 @ 8:26 pace.  I don't really know what the official time was because I ran the first 4 miles alone until I could find Heather.  I stopped at mile 4 and waited and cheered for runners until I found Heather.

Congratulations to everyone who raced so well.  Many stand out performances!  This was my first time really running the entire course and I really enjoyed it.  My feet were not happy even at the slow pace and I'm sad that my ability to run a marathon healthy is just not even a possibility right now.  I need to go to the doctor again and try to come up with a more aggressive approach rather than ignorance.

What a good friend you are!

In regards to doctors, Dr Brent Rich (he's the BYU teams sports medicine doctor) is great. Also Dr Brock Bennett (the guy Janae is seeing) is awesome! Steve Orrock is an amazing PT. He's in Orem.

Thank you so much for the suggestions Toby, I appreciate it so much. I have already met my insurance deductible for the year so I really need to be pro-active and try to find a solution soon. I work at a hospital so there is no real excuse! I think I'll make an appointment with Dr. Rich today.

Thanks again for being so caring. You are awesome!
