I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

I am trying to stay in marathon shape just in case I decide I am capable of racing UVM.  I am kind of a stubborn runner...  Jen joined me for the first 10.  4 mile warmup, 4 mile tempo 6:37, 6:16, 6:12, 6:15, 4 miles steady pace (7:05) 2 mi tempo 6:28, 6:11, 1 mile easy and then another 2 mi tempo 6:30, 6:22, 1 mile cool down to get the 18 miles in.  Weird workout I know but it broke things up well and made it go by fast.  I was completely toasted at the end which did not really help my confidence.  But I've had a lot of hard workouts in the past 7 days.  Feet bothered me when going fast but the pain eased with the breaks in between tempos.  18 miles in 2:04.

Wow, thats quite a workout; great job! I have managed to walk to the kitchen and back several times today, which is obviously almost as taxing!

Holy Crap Rachelle, I'd say you are race ready!! I love how you broke up the run, it really does go so fast when you do it like this!

Holy smokin' Rachelle! Just in case you race UVM? I think after a taper your feet just might be ready. You are on FIRE!

Not a weird workout at all - that's a great way to break up a longer run and inject some quality miles throughout the whole thing.

Great workout! I hope you soon solve the mystery of the burning feet. I would say you are definitely in race shape.

You are in incredible shape! My bets are with Julie ;)

Rachelle.. Even YOU should have been completely toasted after that one! Awesome workout!

Great workout! Long runs with tempos are the bread and butter of marathoning. Don't let it mess with your head - if you weren't tired at the end I'd be worried :)
