Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

7 miles in Salem with Jen, 8:15 pace.  Icy, and a random blizzard that was blowing snow everywhere along the way.  I only fell once which was a small miracle.  The weather is forcing me into a true recovery week which is actually kind of nice.

The real challenge began as I inched my way to work in my civic ever so slowly.

The ice is doing you a favor so that ITB can get back to 100%!!

just try not to break an elbow or hip :-)

Yes I think it is a great thing actually. However I may need to dig out an old pair of soccer cleats & a catchers helmet to ensure I don't break anything.

If you need a project to keep you busy, and have an old pair of shoes to use, try to make the ice cleat shoes that Camille has on her blog. They are cool, she put some screws through the outsole.

I think I will try this, thanks Jake! I have learned that my mirages & kinvaras are equally quite terrible for ice running.

The screw shoes are awesome, cheap and effective. Nice run this morning! I'm glad you made it to work safely.

hey you are making our run look really really laid back.....which it was ; D!!!

I was ironically just reading about doing this today.. Looks like a wonderful idea to me.

Hope you didn't/don't get hurt out there! We should all start wearing bicycle helmets when we run. That wouldn't cause any pointing and laughing.

However can u run that fast in the pm? I always feel so nauseated. Good job!
