Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

8 miles Santaquin Orchard loop, picked up the pup and added a half mile.  8:08 pace.  My hamstrings/quads are a little tight from the race Sat but other than that I feel good.  I am looking forward to taking a couple weeks off of training and just enjoying some fun running.

Planks/pushups at home.

PM:  3 miles easy.  The power was out at my house so I decided I might as well run.  Started right after the storm and the weather was perfect!

There's a ZERO percent chance of rain in Seattle this weekend. That happens about once every decade :-) I looked at the course - all along the water... that looks awesome. You might even get some views of Mt Rainier

Wow I am very happy about that ground breaking news Jake!

Julie - I am running on an Ultra team. I am runner #4 so I get to run legs 7&8. I have 38 miles total. I will not be running fast. I think I got a little competitive at Wasatch back because we had a fast team and I felt like I needed to do my part. But my team is all girls and no one really care about time. Look at my first leg -http://ragnarrelay.com/race/northwestpassage/legs/7

Just a measly 700+ feet of elevation gain. No biggie :-)

Actually make that more like 900 because it keeps on going....:) http://www.ragnarrelay.com/race/northwestpassage/legs/8

You are a machine! I'm excited to hear how the ultra goes. I was asking my sisters last week if they'd ever do an ultra with me. They of course said H--- NO!

Here's a question (that will show my inexperience with running), what does "aided" mean? I noticed that you have run a 1:22 half (which is so stinkin fast!) but it was aided? Sorry for the lame-o questions. :)

What an awesome experience! The only way I'd ever consider running Ragnar again is on an Ultra...and NW passage? awesome.

Natalie - Aided means it was straight downhill. Like literally 3,000 feet or something. :) I would not recommend it. http://www.nebohalf.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/course-map-nebo-half-33.png

Thank you for enlightening me. :) Wow, did that kill your quads and knees?
