Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

I've had an awful eye infection the past 2 days and could not string together more than 2 hours of consecutive sleep last night so I had a feeling that this run was going to be horrible.  I forgot how painful and irritating eye infections are.  Yuck!  I woke up feeling like I got hit by a train but since we were meeting at my house to run I figured the least I could do was roll myself out of bed.  So glad I had people to run with this morning because otherwise I truly would have bailed.  The light in the gym irritates the eye infection terribly but I knew I would be okay running outside in the dark.  Okay what is the point of my ranting?  The morale of my novel is that I had an awesome run and think the run with Jen & Melissa may have cured my eye infection and my terrible mood.  Thank goodness for running!

8 miles with Jen & Melissa, Santaquin Orchard loop + 2 miles on my own.  First mile was 8:28 and last mile was 6:58.  AP of 7:30 for the 10 miles.  A good and completely impromptu push for the last half of the run.

15 minutes Strength Training.

My eye is still bright red and I look like I got in a fight with a cat and the cat won but it feels much better. :)

Do you have pink eyes? Cause my 5 year old came home the other day and said his friend wasn't in school cause he has pink eyes. "Dad, why do some kids have pink eyes?"

Hope you feel better soon, it's seems everyone in Utah is sick this week.

It is amazing how a good early morning run always seems to put you in a good mood. Way to get it done and good luck with that eye.

Julie - do you have a good OTC eye drop you can suggest? I've made it all year w/o going to the dr and I really don't want to break the streak!

Rob - I do not think it is pink eye. I wore the same contacts for about 6 months too long and I think that is the problem. Always trying to save money on dumb things and then ending up spending more money to fix the problem. haha when will I ever learn?

Scott - Yes no matter how terrible my day is running always helps. :)
