Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

Last chance Workout!  1 mile warmup and then 4 tempo miles.  I had no real goal for the tempo miles besides hitting at least marathon pace (mentally I wanted to hit a little faster) and boosting my confidence. 7:08, 6:58, 6:56, 6:39.  The last mile was a little fast but there was a train coming and I did not want to have to wait. That last mile is also a gradual uphill so I'm not sure how I pulled that off but I did beat the train. :) 1.75 mile jog back to my house.  Everything feels a little "tight" but I think that is incredibly normal for this phase of the taper.

30 minutes upper body weights at home.

Nice last chance workout before the big day! Good luck at UVM. :)

Very nice. Its just been fun to watch your progress over this cycle of training. You somehow managed to even step it up a notch from what you did leading up to Boston!

Did you see that the UVM course has changed slightly? The first couple miles have an extra 250-300 feet of elevation drop now.

great workout Rachelle and with the nice downhill start all will be well. I seem to recall the uphill at the start last year really made me suck some air trying to start "on" pace. I am jealous that I am missing out on this one since next year they will probably change the course again!! Funny they still keep the course RECORDS the same!! Mine should stay up there since Julie Thomas will smash it. JK ; D

so Rachelle I think I told you how the course will start UP a mile from where it did last year and you will run DOWN that road instead of that scenic loop. So excited for you girl!! Go for a 3:10 or better!!! I am banking on Jane running with Kim so I can run you in!!

Nice tempo! Good luck this weekend. Impressive "beat the train" mile.
