Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

Pushups & Planks

Todays workout did not go exactly as I had hoped but with that said it was still a great effort and I am not too dissapointed.  I wanted a 10 mile MP tempo progression run starting at 7:30 and gradually making my way towards 7:00.  1 mile warmup and then straight into the workout 7:24, 7:22, 7:26, 7:07, 7:07, 7:05, 7:17 7:05, 7:11, 7:04. Now that I actually look at the splits it wasn't all that bad and I felt pretty good and controlled except the last mile that was into a headwind and I felt like I was pushing a bit to hit that pace.  Completely unaided route with only a few gradual uphill/downhill sections.

After today I feel more confident that I am capable of holding a 7:24 pace (3:15) for the duration of a marathon.

PM:  2 miles nice and easy.  Legs feel suprising good considering the tempo from this morning.

In my opinion that is one of the best workouts you've done. A lot of the splits were ~20 seconds faster / mile than goal pace! And UVM has some nice downhill that you didn't get today :-)

Another perfect workout!

easy peasy! you've got this 3:15 down! No joke. I really hope I get to stay and watch all you awesome folks finish your marathon!!!

: D way to go girl!! ahhhhh UVM....one word of caution--- do not go out too fast the first half. That said you will hit 3:15 (probably better) without a problem. And pray for an overcast. It was super hot today out there on the UVM course and an amazing UP the canyon wind. Ridiculous, comical. what's new?? I plan on watching you since I have the day off!!!
