Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

7.25 miles nice and easy.  I can still feel the shin/calve and it is definitely in the tibula area.  It is not really painful just there and gets progressively more apparent the longer or harder I run.  I don't think it is anything serious but it is enough for me to skip any hard paced workouts for the rest of the week.  Maybe I'll even resort to cross-training for a day......

100 pus ups sounds painful. I only do 3 sets of 15 a week. yikes.

xtrain!

Might be worth taking a day or two to cross train... lay off it a bit and see if it gets better. Missing a few days of running right now won't mean anything in the long run.

I'm with Jake. Trust me on this one...you don't want a stress fracture there (and they are, I believe, the most common type in runners). Just think 2 or 3 days of x-training to heal up VS. 6 weeks of x-training and then having to work back at 1/4 mile intervals - yeah, it sucks THAT bad!

That said, I'm glad the pain seems to be cooperating at lower speeds and that you are taking A+ care of it! Nice work on those push-ups - I'd need tickets to that gun show!

Oh, be careful, Rachelle. Keep it slower, try softer surfaces if possible, wear new shoes with less degraded cushioning. Baby that thing along...

I'm with you on BL this season. It always takes 4-5 weeks to whittle the contestants down a bit, but yeah, this crop of players seem a bit weak right now. It really bugs because there are so many people that would thrive with such an opportunity...
