Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

17 with the J crew.  Jane, Julie, and Jorge!  Too bad my name starts with an R to completely ruin the acronym.  JJJR  First 12 moderate chatty pace and then 4 faster 7:01, 6:43, 6:48, 6:42.  1 mile cooldown back to Julies house.  Record showering time, slurpee stop at 7-11, and I snuck into work right ontime. :)

The real workout begins when I babysit my 4 neices & nephews all under the age of 3 this afternoon.  My legs are completely fatigued this week and the 5k tomorrow will be ugly but it will be fun! :)

Very nice run w/ a great finish. I don't think you need to do anything crazy b/w now and TOU - you are in such good shape, as long as you stay healthy and maintain the level you are at, you'll have another fantastic marathon.

From Andrea on Fri, Aug 10, 2012 at 10:26:24 from 72.37.171.52

You should really consider targeting your marathon pace at around 6:45-6:55. You've already done a 9-mile tempo at that pace...with a taper it's well within your capability to run that pace for a marathon.

Wish I could have come :( Don't know if I could have kept up though, especiallt those last 4, great job!

Jake - So should I cancel the solo 200 mi Ragnar I was planning next weekend? :) jk I feel behind endurance wise because everyone I'm training with is training for SGM but I think one good 20 miler will suffice.

Andrea - I think a lot will depend on how my feet hold up. I tried the inserts today which did help but the left side started to ache the last fast mi. That said I did not take in any fuel besides water and definitely felt like physically I could maintain the pace for 3+ more mi if there was a bear or something chasing me and I had to.

Carina - Wish you could have came. You absolutely could have kept up. I think we are doing 18-20 next week so I will definitely keep you in the loop.

yeah and you are pacing a few 1/2s which are great workouts... i think if you ran a marathon NEXT weekend you'd be fine in terms of endurance... basically i'm just saying be confident and excited!!!

Thanks Jake! My plan is to have more fun with my training...pacing, fun run 5k's, group runs, ect and just go into TOU relaxed but in great shape.

I think you'll be surprised with how fast you can run w/ that plan.

I'm doing the same thing so I'm banking on it working! :-)

I don't consider myself an expert on running but I do consider Andrea and Jake experts and I totally agree with them. I think you for sure could go for a 6:45-6:55 min pace. You're in incredible shape.

I don't know how you do it. Speed AND mileage together makes for a extremely hard run. Kudos

AWESOME run! Have fun with the "real workout" this afternoon. You are such a fun aunt!!!!

Can't wait to see how you do at TOU! You're amazing! :)
