12 miles. 5 with Megan, 7 on the TM in 56 min, 7:00 pace...barely! Woofer...I cheated twice.  Thanks so much for the texts that I absolutely had to completely pause running for.:)  No texting and running yo!

Ate an entire bag of chocolate covered cinnamon bears.  How on earth is 3 little bears an entire serving?  That just does not compute.

9 miles mostly with megan and the sis, 9ish pace.

Off to Phoenix after work today!  Yahoozle.  Running with my friend Heather who is targetting 3:38.  Her BQ time is 3:45 and I'm confident that she's got this.  Now if only the winds will switch directions for us.  I'll pray to the weather gods.

8 mile out and back on the canal trail from Heathers house in Phoenix, 7:56 pace.  I rarely run alone so it was nice to just find my groove and cruise at my own pace.  I slept in and didn't start running until 9am.  It was a little warm but lovely!

hung out by the pool, read, lounged around with Heather, deep tissue sports massage, and dinner at Oregano's.  Not a bad day.

3 mile shakeout run with Heather, 8:54 pace.

Slept in again, lounged around, went to a restorative yoga class at Heather's gym followed by McFarland USA.  Another pretty awesome day.

26.2 miles with Heather on the Phoenix marathon course, 8:15 pace.  3:37:08!!!!  Stoke!

Heather's previous marathon PR was 4:04.  She went into the race aiming for 3:38 which would give her a 7 min window on her BQ time of 3:45.  Her motives for such a massive PR were questioned.  My motives of supporting her motives were questioned.  BUT you just can't plug someone's heart into a running calculator.  Heather had the heart, she believed in herself, and she trained her booty off literally!

I was only there for the last 6 miles.  She didn't need me but I did enjoy the journey.  Seeing a good friend train their heart out for a race and then execute nearly flawlessly is pretty much my favorite.  I absolutely LOVE observing the transformation of someone gaining confidence in themselves and making the jump to a new level.
