5:30am Power Yoga Class - My cute friend Heather (that I'll be running SGM with Sat) teaches yoga at my gym every Monday and I'm planning to make this a regular thing.  I've got a lot of work to do but Heather was a great teacher and I loved it.

6.5 with AmberD on the river trail, 8:00 pace.  Beautiful morning.

7 miles in the orchards with AmberD, 7:34 pace.  Last chance workout for her!  We did a 2 mile tempo 6:55, 6:39.  We kept up our conversation the entire time so I know she is ready to smash her goal at SGM.  Lady has worked her booty off!

I had a blast running this marathon with my friend Heather.  She had just ran Big Cottonwood three weeks prior and wanted to go for a BQ.  She is 100% capable...but I think BC was still in her legs.  Heather is truly one tough cookie.  She started hitting the wall at Veyo and really hammered through and held it together incredibly well.  26.2 @ 8:26 pace.  I don't really know what the official time was because I ran the first 4 miles alone until I could find Heather.  I stopped at mile 4 and waited and cheered for runners until I found Heather.

Congratulations to everyone who raced so well.  Many stand out performances!  This was my first time really running the entire course and I really enjoyed it.  My feet were not happy even at the slow pace and I'm sad that my ability to run a marathon healthy is just not even a possibility right now.  I need to go to the doctor again and try to come up with a more aggressive approach rather than ignorance.
