I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

A group full of speedies this morning.  Thank you so much to JulieC for putting this together and for feeding us all afterwards.  The route was awesome and it was great to have faster runner pushing me.

First 14 miles were about 8 minute AP.  I was struggling between miles 7-12.  I think a combination of the higher elevation (5,000+ as apose to 4,000 where I live in Payson) and just being fatigued with the sore quads.  I am so glad Kelli was willing to stay with me during this stretch.  That was really nice of her.  After mile 12 I felt a lot better and although I could tell I was pushing a bit I felt good and my breathing wasn't overly labored.  At least I don't think it was.....maybe those who ran with me can vouch for that.  Anyway the last 6 miles were 7:34, 7:36, 7:24, 7:17, 7:25, 7:17.  Overall pace 7:45.

I am pretty dang proud of myself as this basically turned into a 20 mile tempo run for me.  Thanks so much to everyone for pushing me and I really hope I didn't slow any of you down too much.  It was a great morning and nothing feels better than an awesome run. :)

I think it was the magic GU chomp we both had because we started feeling better at about the same point! THANKS YOU for staying with me. I was worried about attempting this run and being lost in Utah County for the rest of my life.

Oh, and no, I never heard you breathing hard. You made it all seem effortless! I was the one who said i was thirsty when I wasn't really just so I could STOP for a breather. ;o)

So great to run with you again today! You had a great workout, make sure you take a day or two easy to get those quads recovered from that strength training!

Awesome run and great finish! You are running so strong right now. Take a few easy days, and then go have fun in Arizona in the sunshine!

Very strong run. Fast finish long runs are great for building confidence in a marathon. Have you set a goal for Boston yet?

great running with you this morning. your breathing was nice and controlled -- even going up the loooong uphill section. you are running really strong right now and you will only be stronger for boston.
