Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

9 miles this morning with 8 x 1 minute on/off intervals.  on's were around 6:15-6:30 pace and recovery was 8:34.  Nothing too wild and crazy.

I am obviously not tapering for the half marathon I am running this weekend and have decided just to make it a part of my training.  It is a tough course and the weather is looking anything but ideal so it will be a good character building run I suppose.  My plan is to make it a marathon paced tempo run and get a good warmup/cooldown to get 20 miles in.  Should be a good workout no matter what.

PM:  3.3 miles with the pup.  Best run I have had with the pup in such a long time.  There was no one on the trail and it was such a nice night.

Let me recommend taking most of the miles after the race to get your 20. You will definitely have a good workout. Your training looks great, Rachelle.

HAVE FUN and enjoy that tempo run! I think it sounds like a great idea.

And, since I will not be back to a computer again until Monday---HAVE A GREAT BIRTHDAY! It is Saturday, right?

: D way to go Rachelle. It seems just like yesterday I was injury free....amazing how an injury can take you under and pull you under mentally. I might have to throw in the towel with the way I am feeling. Like maybe run a mile walk a mile at Boston. Throw in some cartwheels. Stop for a donut or two. : D. good luck Saturday. That course is actually quite fun. The wind really adds to it!!! just DON'T add on 1.5 miles like Melanie :D.

Julie - I had an epiphony (did I spell that right?) that all of this injury stuff is a sign that YOU NEED TO JUST RUN BOSTON WITH RACHELLE!! Yup that is the answer to all of your problems. Take the stress off and start running at my pace. :)

Just have fun with your daughter this weekend and soak up some sun for me!

Kam - thanks for the advice. ;) I think I will do a 2 miles warmup and a 5 mile cooldown.....if I am able to. We shall see.
