Short-Term Running Goals: My goal is to continue to enjoy running and maybe get faster a long the way! :) Long-Term Running Goals: Run until I am 100 years old! Personal: I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences. I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn. I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University. | AM: 7 miles at 10:30am, 8ish minute pace. I got a very nice tan. :)
PM: 30 min walk, 20 min spin with my Mom. Booked flights for my parents for Chicago. They are going to fly in for the second half of the week and play around while I'm in conferences and then watch me race on Sunday. I'm excited!

| Weights - 45 min session working chest, tri's, and core
8 mile run mostly with AmberD, 7:54 pace. Gosh whoever stole my running mojo should seriously give it back. Every run just feels forced lately and I really just think it's harder to run after doing weights and in spanish fork. meh...no offense to those that live there but that town kind of sucks to run in IMO.

| 11 miles with Melissa. We started at the finish line of the Speedy Spaniard course and ran up the course and then back down...just cutting out part of the finish. 2 mile tempo 6:24, 6:31. I am so ridiculously out of shape. I was using every mantra in my brain and counting down the seconds to hit that 6:30! bahaha Melissa and I nearly had to crawl to the drinking fountain at the park. Hot, humid, and miserable out this morning. Waah, waah, waah

| 8.5 miles with Jen, AmberD, and Melissa, 7:17 pace. Crap Jen showed up...I've been avoiding her and her speedy pants quite well lately. Ha! We did 6 x 90 second on with 60 second breaks. It was hard but it is good for me to work hard every once in awhile I guess. I do not know when I got so soft and completely lost my toughness.

| 6.5 recovery miles solo in payson. My first mile was a 9:08 and it was so lovely. I was awake until 1am last night and think I was still asleep for the entire run. I wish I could talk my friends into running this slow with me.

| Paced 1:35 at the Timp half. I love pacing but gosh I am so sick of waking up so early on Saturdays! Anyway it was a fun race and I had a blast. I am an idiot and only packed my Viratas (light weight). Between that and the downhill pounding on my feet the last 4-5 miles of the race were pretty dang painful. The pace was fine but I was just in pain. Lame! We paced really well until the last 2 miles where the mile markers were off. I sped up because I always pace by mile markers and didn't want to be off. Of course the mile markers were off and not me so we ended up coming in a little early. Overall I feel I did a good job and I helped quite a few runners. It was a good day!
